“Romeo and Rue-liet”

Listen to internet radio with Fireside Chat on Blog Talk Radio

Episode 23 of the Hunger Games Fireside Chat podcast airs LIVE tonight, September 5, at 10pm ET/7pm PT! This week, our panel of experts includes some of our fabulous friends from Down with the Capitol and The Hob. We will also be joined by Sam of District Tribute and Panem Radio, Sara of The Hunger Games Examiner, Natalie of Crushable, Jake Vineyard of The Vivacity Blog, and Phil Wallace, founder and president of Picktainment.

  • We’ll start out by weighing in on the three-part interview Gary Ross did with MTV via Skype (Director’s CommentaryPerspective, Burning Questions).
  • Next we’ll analyze Rue’s “Mockingjay Call” with the help of music blogger Patrick Wells (we think it sounds eerily similar to a few famous movie themes…).
  • We’ll also examine the #WhatsMyDistrict/TheCapitol.PN phenomenon and Steven Soderbergh’s explanation of his role as second unit director.
  • In addition to discussing what little we know of the education system in Panem, we’ll talk to the brilliant Mrs. Orman about her amazing online collection of Hunger Games lessons!

Remember, you can chat with other listeners throughout the live show by using our hashtag #HGFiresideChat on Twitter!
