He is tall, has a shaved head, tan, fit, and knows how to work a pole! It is Channing Tatum, the sexy Alabama native that danced his way onto the streets of Hollywood with four movies this year, making him the industry’s new it man – especially with the ladies.

Of course Tatum started his career as a model – it only makes since. His rock abs and sexy biceps appeared in ads of Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Nautica, and many other notable companies.

He started his film career in the 2005 Coach Carter but we all know him best for his role in the 2006 dance flick Step Up: 2 The Streets, where he played the troubled street dancer that turned good to costar Jenna Dewan-Tatum whom he later married in 2009. Yeah, he is taken – off the market but that does not mean we can’t still drool over him. Anyone who can dance like that is definitely eye candy – Jenna has to totally understand.

Tatum’s 2012 films include Haywire, The Vow, 21 Jump Street, and Magic Mike. He has been nominated for several MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards. In 2010 Tatum won his first Teen Choice Award for his role in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

Earlier this year, Tatum told Details magazine that he would also like to add producer to his many talents. Seemingly, popping and locking, looking hot, and playing the night and shinning armor in films such as Dear John was not enough.

“I really don’t want to be in any more movies that I don’t produce. Unless it’s with one of the 10 directors that I really want to work with, I don’t have any interest in not being on the ground floor of creating it,” said Tatum.

Well, in his latest film, Magic Mike, which is set to release on June 29, Tatum got his chance to put his producing skills to the test. The film is loosely based on Tatum’s younger years as an exotic dancer.

In 2009, US Weekly revealed news of Tatum’s past life as a stripper when he was living in Florida at 18-years-old. Has anyone seen the archive video of Tatum stripping and performing to “How Deep Is Your Love” by Dru Hill? It is completely OK if you have not seen it. The poor guy is in a G-string and dancing in socks. Tatum’s performance is embarrassing and the video almost takes away his hot card. Ouch! Tatum is lucky that Magic Mike is only loosely based on his past stripper experience and hopefully the film will be a lot better. In spite of it all, with Matthew McConaughey in Magic Mike that has to make up for something.

With two production companies: 33andOut Productions and Iron Horse Entertainment, Tatum is taking the art of movie making seriously with the help of friends and his wife who are also apart of his production team. Tatum consistently reinvents himself – he is multitalented in many artistic ways and it is pretty obvious that this hunk was destined for fame.
