When it comes to J.J. Abrams‘ new Star Trek sequel, Star Trek into Darkness, we’re still… well, very much in the dark. Granted, there’s been the odd leaked plot detail or set photo, but those are few and far between, and Abrams himself isn’t giving much away (we wouldn’t expect any less from the director). So, we were all delighted when in an interview on Conan last night, the filmmaker shared a brief clip from the new film.

Actually, ‘brief’ is an understatement. It’s three frames of Spock (Zachary Quinto) in a volcano, and according to Conan, we’re all going to lose our minds over this. Check it out for yourselves below:

Now, if you didn’t quite catch that, we don’t blame you. Here’s a freeze frame (via /Film) to give you a better look at this snippet of a scene.

Well, we’re not sure about you, but our minds are still intact, and in their rightful places… (well, as much as they were before, anyway) — However, Trek fans may already be pondering over what this clip actually means. Are there any hidden clues to get worked up over? What is Spock doing in a volcano? Let us know in the comments.

Star Trek Into Darkness opens in theaters on May 17th.
