Part two of Guilty Pleasures week so let’s get to it!

Melissa & Tony: Melissa dances a Tango to Britney Spears’s “Toxic” and she’s struggling in rehearsal to “understand the language” of the dance.  The routine starts with Tony in what looks like a meth lab, mixing “toxic” potions that will awaken Melissa who is wearing a red bob wig.  The dance is pretty good, even though Melissa’s neck still looks a little stiff.  Len says, “I really enjoyed it. Well done.”  Bruno says, “That wasn’t toxic, it was intoxicating” and Carrie Ann says, “Tonight you were absolutely grittier.” Judges Scores: 27.

Shawn & Derek: Shawn dances her Rumba to the Titanic theme, “My Heart Will Go On.”  This is Shawn’s toughest dance because the “sensual Rumba” is “so not her” and showing her emotions is “terrifying.”  The dance is phenomenal, with plenty of drama and romance. Derek even reenacts Leo’s death scene and floats away into a sea of fog. The ballroom is on their feet and Bruno says, “Ever-changing shapes and flawless motions.”  Carrie Ann says, “That was amazing” but then criticizes them for “a lift” that was really “a catch.”  Len continues the party pooping and criticizes them for “too little hip action.” Judges Scores: 27.

Apolo & Karina:  After last week’s hip-hop debacle, Apolo and Karina are determined to make the Samba “their comeback week.”  Despite Apolo wearing a leopard print shirt, the dance is just okay.  Carrie Ann “thinks there is something missing,” but Len says, “It was terrific. Overall great movement…”  Bruno loves Leopard and he thinks Apolo “did a really great job.” Judges Scores: 27.

Sabrina & Louis:  Sabrina dances a Waltz to the Cinderella song “So This is Love” and her outfit looks like it’s straight out of the CVS Halloween section. The dance has its moments, but at times Sabrina looks unsteady on her feet.  Len says, “I loved the flow of it all. It was such a charming number.”  Bruno says, “My darling it was a magic ride into an enchanted kingdom.”  Carrie Ann calls it “elegance personified” and “thinks she’s in for a happy ending.” Judges Scores: 29.

Team Freestyle: Emmitt, Gilles, Kirstie, & Kelly:  The group does their Freestyle to the much overplayed “Gangnam Style,” but I’ll admit their costumes are pretty bad ass.  However in rehearsal it looks as though Team Gangham is struggling to make things work, with Kirstie even kicking Emmitt in the head.  The dance is highly entertaining but technically it’s a train wreck.  Len calls it “the craziest number. It wasn’t tight it wasn’t together…it was fun.”  Bruno says, “I wish I could score for entertainment value” and Carrie Ann calls it “a hot mess.” Judges Scores: 27.

No one gets eliminated this week so remember these scores because they’ll be factored into next week’s performances.
