During last week’s results show, each of the stars picked a new style of dance another star to perform this week.  Oh and Paula Abdul is back , botoxed up and guest judging for tonight’s performances.

Kirstie & Maks: Sabrina & Louis picked the Charleston for them and besides Kirstie popping out of a giant cake and awkwardly climbing over the side, the routine is okay. Len says, “For fun, you are the best.”  Paula rambles about how much she loves it and Bruno says, “You’re a madwoman and I love it.” Judges’ Scores: 30

Bristol & Mark: Bristol and Mark got Rock & Roll, which means they’re dancing to “Let’s go to the Hop.”  The only good thing about the routine is that Mark decided to not wear a bunny costume.  Paula wants Bristol “to push boundaries” and Bruno “wants her to focus.”  Carrie Ann says, “Good job out there, you’re really coming out of your shell.” Judges’ Scores: 32.

Sabrina & Louis: Unfortunately Sabrina & Louis are dancing to Disco music and even more unfortunate is her wardrobe, which is basically an old cookie monster costume.  However once the giant blue fur coat is ripped off, the ballroom transforms into Studio 54 and the dance is fresh, unique and fun (even including some really difficult lifts).  Carrie Ann loves it and Bruno thinks she “lost time.”  Len says, “I thought it was fabulous, I was with it and I loved it.” Judges’ Scores: 35.5.

Cheryl & Emmitt: They’re dancing Bailero, which is a Latin dance that Cheryl has limited training in.  So what do you do on DWTS when you have no idea what you’re doing? You bust out the fog machine and a white satin shirt.  The dance is a snooze, but I blame that on the style more than Emmitt and Cheryl.  Carrie Ann says, “You brought us all in and I thought your lines were absolutely graceful.”  Len says, “It was just great, fabulous” and Paula says, “You are a sexy beast.” Judges’ Scores: 36.

Gilles and Peta:  Gilles and Peta struggled in rehearsal to learn their Bollywood routine, but managed to pull it together on the dance floor and deliver a fun well executed performance.  However it ended with Gilles planting a big kiss on Peta, cut to a shot of Gilles wife who is smiling through the pain because she also knows that they’re sleeping together.  Paula and Bruno go on incoherent rants (they liked it) and Carrie Ann says, “Aladdin has nothing on you.” Judges’ Scores: 39.5.

Tony & Melissa:  In an attempt to compete with Shawn Johnson’s tumbling Jive last week, Tony & Melissa pack their Jitterbug with lifts, kicks and flips that are professional level difficult.  Bruno says, “What a swinger.  Fearless and fierce.”  Carrie Ann says, “You’re so light on your feet” and Len says, “I’d rather you fail going for it than playing it safe.” Judges’ Scores: 37.

Shawn & Derek: Shawn and Derek dance a Mambo that has me standing up in my living room.  Besides the fact that Derek starts the routine by playing bongo drums, the rest of it is impeccable.  Bruno says, “You think you’ve seen it all, but it keeps getting better.”  Len says, “Good news from Goodman, I liked it, I really liked it” and Paula says, “Shawn you have turned into a sexy young lady.” Judges’ Scores: 39.5.

Apolo & Karina:  Apolo & Karina struggle to learn their Hip-Hop routine because Karina has absolutely no training in that style of dance.  Side note: did anyone else find it disturbing that they were going for a couples massage during their rehearsal tape piece? Their dance is okay, maybe a little boring at times, but it leaves Karina in tears because she slipped and “thinks she messed up the whole routine.”  Carrie Ann says, “You nailed the choreography from top to finish” and Len “wasn’t even looking at Karina because Apolo was so fantastic.”  Paula says, “This style is natural for you” and Bruno says, “You even make the running man look good.” Judges’ Scores: 34.5.

Kelly & Val:  In preparation for their Contemporary routine, Kelly has decided she won’t smile for the entire show, although I probably wouldn’t be smiling if I had to dance in a bra and underwear.  Honestly Contemporary is not my thing and either is watching Val and Kelly make out.  Len says, “You are the biggest revelation to me.”  Paula says, “Kelly you should be proud of yourself” and Bruno says, “Of all the tasks tonight, yours was the hardest.”  Carrie Ann is crying. Judges’ Scores: 37.5.

Who should go home tomorrow?  Bristol or Kirstie.  Who will go home? Probably Sabrina.
