Previously on Jersey Shore, Jenni’s testosterone-filled boyfriend Roger drunkenly shoved her to the ground during a fight between him and a bouncer. She is taken to a doctor’s office the next morning, where she finds out her foot is broken. She is given crutches and a small boot. Jenni fears what the injury will do to her summer and realizes how limited she will be.

The entire house, (including the very pregnant Snooki) decide to go to their favorite night club, “Karma.” As the wild night goes on a very bitter & sober Mike, “The Situation,” is still adapting to the nondrinking lifestyle, while being surrounded by several intoxicated club goers. Trying to avoid any fights, Mike leaves the club early and heads back to the house. While sitting alone in the house he decides to call his unofficial girlfriend, Paula. It takes this caring/tender night for Mike to realize Paula is his “ride or die chick” and decides to finally make their relationship official.

Once the other roommates fall asleep, Deena continues her drunken escapades into the morning. She stumbles into a local bar to drink more…a lot more. Depressed by the absence of her best friend Snooki, Deena steers away from the boardwalk and into the streets. It doesn’t take long for the police to interrupt her carefree fun. She’s arrested for dancing in the streets, and stopping traffic. The episode ends with the drunken cries of Deena heard from the back of the police car…

Moments after Deena is shoved into the police car, Ronnie and Sam contemplate what to do at a time like this. They realize their friend is on her way to jail and needs help. After a few seconds of bickering they come to the conclusion that the only thing they can do at this moment in time is…drink! The two head back to the bar and agree they’ll figure something out later. While Ronnie and Sam take shots in Deena’s memory, Mike, Pauly & Vinny enjoy a nice guys-day-out. One of their stops is the tanning store, where Mike’s un-official girlfriend Paula works. Mike pulls Paula aside and shyly asks her out for dinner. Without any hesitation she happily replies, “yes,” leaving Mike with the smile of a young schoolboy. After a few more drinks and shots are downed, Ronnie and Sam decide it’s finally time to return home and alert the other roommates of Deena’s dilemma. They return to the house to find only Jenni and Snooki. Once they drunkenly deliver the unfortunate news, Snooki grabs the keys and loads up the car to go save her fellow meatball.

*Sidenote: Snooki makes an excellent point when she states, “It’s a f****d up world, when I’m the most responsible one in this house.”

With a pregnant Snooki behind the wheel, a crippled Jenni riding shotgun and the inebriated duo of Ronnie and Sam in the back, they arrive at the police station. Unfortunately, they are not the first to arrive there. Deena’s mother and father greet them at the station. After retelling Deena’s tragic tale to her mother the gang heads back home. A couple minutes go by and Deena is finally released, with her mother and father by her side.

While working at “The Shore Store,” Mike asks the boys to make him a tank top he can wear on his date with Paula that reads, “Lets make it official!” His plan is to wear this under a nice dress shirt during their dinner. When the time is right he will pull a Clark Kent and bust the dress shirt open to reveal his message!

Later that night, the entire house takes a night off from clubbing to go to the small Italian restaurant, “Rivoli’s,” to watch Mike ask out Paula. Even though Mike and Paula are seated separately from the other roommates, the restaurant is so small, only 30 feet separate the tables. The roommates forget about eating and turn their attention toward a very nervous Mike. After a nice catch up between Mike and Paula, he decides that its time to unveil his newly made tank top. But unlike his original plan of busting the shirt open to reveal his message, he slowly/awkwardly opens it. Paula’s jaw drops; she becomes speechless as she reads the wrinkled message, “Let’s make it official!” Mike eagerly awaits her answer, as do the snooping roommates from the other side of the room. She suddenly jumps up and hugs Mike. The sound of applause is heard from the roommate’s table. Mike wraps his muscular arms around her as he grins from ear to ear! Good feelings all around! Nothing can go wrong now! Until, Paula, in a possible state of shock, decides to tell Mike she can’t wait to have kids with him. She starts talking about their wedding, what kind of house they will live in and what kind of dog they will own. Literally within seconds of asking her out, regret falls over Mike’s face.

Later that night, Jenni finally gives in and calls Roger. After multiple rings, she receives his voicemail. She hangs up, more furious and confused than before. She begins to cry, and fears what is going on in Roger’s head. Before she knows it her roommates, who all decide to add their two cents to her problem, surround her. Jenni comes to the realization that this could be the end of her and Roger’s two-year relationship. à Cue sad song, “Say Goodbye” By: Kari Kimmel. After more tears are shed, Jenni decides to call Roger again. After only one ring a furious Roger finally answers the phone. He accuses Jenni of getting in his way during the fight. He claims his act of throwing her to the ground was justified and her leg injury is just her being dramatic. Jenni places her shaking hand onto her forehead as she musters up the courage to ask…“Is this it?”

Next episode: Snooki learns to cook! Deena’s mom yells at her over the phone to pack her bags and that her time at the shore is over. Is this the end of the line for Deena? Will Jenni and Roger’s relationship end? Will Snooki ever learn to cook? Countdown to these answers: 6 more days!
