Revenge: Resurrection
It’s barely the start of the summer season in the Hamptons, and already things are heating up. Cheesy cliches aside, Revenge ups the intensity and rolls out a nail biter this week on ABC. Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) convinces Daniel Grayson (Joshua Bowman) to look into his sister Charlotte’s shady doc, which a quick web search later reveals that Dr. Thomas has been accused of keeping patients against their will in the recent past. How did this guy still have a job? Anyway.
Victoria works with the mysterious white haired man (James Morrison) to wrangle new passports and identities for herself and Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) to flee the country. But what to do with Emily Thorne? Sounds a little… murdery. It all hinges on Char’s trust, which, thanks to daddy Conrad has gone bye bye.
Nolan (Gabriel Mann) learns that company is under some IRS scrutiny, reminding the young millionaire that he’s slowly losing control of his money maker after galavanting around with Emily. Thanks to the help of a plucky company accountant, Padma (Dilshad Valharia), and suddenly he has a little less time to play sidekick to Miss Thorne.
Amanda (Margarita Levieva) confesses to a one night stand prior to hooking up with Jack, and Emily offers to “ensure” the results of her paternity test. Declan (Connor Paolo) convinces Jack to kick Amanda to the curb should the child not be his. Never one to break a promise, Emily ensures the results go according to plan despite the truth of her baby daddy (or… then again, what is the truth?). Declan gets involved with a not so savory blonde fellow, trying to make a little cash on the side to help the ailing bar and soon to be niece/nephew.
Over at Grayson Manor, Charlotte’s inheritance has been drained by her father, putting her new life with mother of the year Victoria at risk. Suddenly penniless about being sprung from the not so caring rehab facility, big bro Daniel bequeaths his trust to his little sis’, but to the chagrin of just about everyone. Just as the shock settles in, an even bigger ball is about to be dropped.
Victoria reveals herself to Conrad (that was quick!), and calls him to her Unabomber cabin for some good old fashioned S&M (emphasis on the S) in order to frame the white haired man for her capture and imprisonment in the woods. Conrad concocts a ransom scheme to cover up the money missing from the company and Charlotte’s trust and start a witch hunt for the nameless man. Buuut for the right price, ol’ white hair can buy his exoneration from Emily thanks to a hidden camera. The price? The truth about Emily’s mother. But just as we’re about to get closer to another reveal, he nearly kills Emily, only to be shot in the back by Takeda’s mysterious sidekick leaving Victoria as the only person with knowledge of Kara Clarke’s existence.
What will unfold next week? Tune in Sunday for more…
