Previously, on The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons: the Challengers traveled to Turkey and were teamed up with their former Real World roommates, plus a “Fresh Meat” team was brought on. Team Real World: Cancun became the game’s first power team and sent the Real World: Austin to battle the Fresh Meat team in the arena. Fresh Meat’s Eric and Cara Maria went up against Austin’s Wes and Lacey and sent them home.

The Challengers are swimmin’, dancin’, drinkin’ – just having a good time. Jemmye camera talks that Knight made it clear that he was only there to win her back. She says that is a lot to take in. Back at the house, Melinda tells Alton that she has a beautiful home life and camera talks that it’s the first time she’s seen Danny, her ex-husband, in about three years. Danny says his “lady at home” is great and that they need to put their issues aside and get the job done to win some money.

The Challengeds get a “clue from TJ:” “A lot of you have pulled some slick moves in the past. Better bring you’re A-game tomorrow.”

Frank from Real World: San Diego is trying to form an alliance between the peeps from Real World: Cancun, Real World: San Diego, Real World: Vegas, and Real World: New Orleans. He tells the camera that he’s the one running the show, uh-huh, yep, that’s what everyone thinks, Frank. Marie from Real World: Saint Thomas is trying to convince the rest of her team to join up with Frank, but Trey is not having it. Marie kind of looks like Ke$ha, amirite?

The next day, the Challengeds meet up with poor, down-trodden TJ Lavin for the “Oil Change” challenge. The teams are going to be wrestling in a big vat of olive oil – guys against guys and girls against girls. One at a time they’re going to be trying to wrestle their opponent out of the ring. If you win your round, you get to choose who will be wrestling the next round – plus you win a puzzle piece for your team’s icon. The first team to collect four puzzle pieces will win the title of “power team” and the last team to build their icon automatically gets sent to the arena. Cancun is the current “power team” so they get to choose the first round of wrestlers.

First up is Jasmine from Real World: Cancun up against Ashley from Real World: San Diego, and Ashley wins. Zach from Real World: San Diego is up next versus Dustin from Real World: Vegas, and after ten minutes of wrestling it’s a draw. Nany from Real World: Vegas and McKenzie of Real World: New Orleans are up next and McKenzie wins. Next is Knight of Real World: New Orleans against JD of Real World: Brooklyn; they wrestle for ten minutes and it ends with a draw.

CJ decides that they should start throwing the matches so that teams from their alliance win and get “Power Team.” Sam from Real World: San Diego and Jemmye of Real World: New Orleans are up next and Sam wins. Sam chooses Frank from Real World: San Diego versus CJ from Real World: Cancun, and CJ wins. Ashley from Real World: San Diego goes up against Jonna from Real World: Cancun, and Ashley wins. Frank from Real World: San Diego goes up against Derek from Real World: Cancun, and Frank wins, garnering San Diego the title of “Power Team.”

Trishelle from Real World: Las Vegas goes up against Jasmine from Real World: Cancun, and Trishelle wins. CJ from Real World: Cancun and Preston from Real World: New Orleans wrestle, and CJ wins. Okay, okay, this is getting pretty tedious…how about I just tell you the team that completes their puzzle last? It comes down to Laura from Real World: St. Thomas vs. Melinda from Real World: Austin. Melinda loses and Team Austin is automatically sent to the arena. It’s up to Team San Diego to choose who will go up against Austin in the arena.

Everyone goes back to the house and the non-alliance teams plead their case to Team San Diego. Word has it that San Diego is going to throw Fresh Meat into the arena because Camila and Frank kind of were at odds during the challenge. Fresh Meat talks to San Diego but they don’t seem convinced. San Diego then goes to talk to St. Thomas and tries to convince them, as a “Rookie team,” to join their alliance. Trey essentially shoots them down, and Team San Diego storms off. Mr. TJ Lavin shows up at the house and asks San Diego who they’re sending in against Real World: Austin. Frank says they’re sending in Team Fresh Meat.

There are four games in the arena: physical, mental, endurance, and strategy. Physical was played last time, so they can’t choose that one until the other three are played. San Diego chooses endurance. Danny and Melinda are automatically the two players going into the arena since they’re the only two left. Team Fresh Meat have to choose one guy and one girl to go in otherwise the “Power Team” will choose for them.

Obligatory club scene! Zach and Jonna hook up. Trey and Laura hook up. Knight tells Jemmye he wants her back, and they start fighting. Melinda tries to help them work it out, and it’s like, shut up, Melinda. Trying to work out a Real World relationship is like trying to make sense of a Justin Beiber song’s rap interlude. You all know what I’m talking about. Knight reveals to Danny that Jemmye has definitely been leading him on. Aha, and so the turn tables, Jemmye. Danny’s just like, concentrate on the game, bro.

The next day is the elimination challenge. Brandon straight up says, I don’t like eliminations, I don’t want to go in. Camila says she wrestled the same girl as Cara Maria and won, so she implies that Cara Maria should go in. They can’t decide, so at the arena Team San Diego chooses for them. They choose Camila and Eric AKA “Big Easy” to go up against Danny and Melinda. Eric is really pissed because he was in the arena last week and sent Wes home.

The teams are playing “Balls Out.” There are 25 balls with a cable running through each. The goal is to slide the balls out of their court and into their opponents’ court. Whoever has the most balls on their court after five minutes goes home. At the end of five minutes, Eric and Camila have 10 balls on their court and Melinda and Danny have 15 balls, so Danny and Melinda get sent home. Real World: Austin is completely gone now, leaving seven teams left in the game.

After the elimination, Trey complains to Laura that everyone hates him. And that if it wasn’t for Laura, he would just go home. He assumes, rightly so, that Team Real World: St. Thomas is probably next on the chopping block.

Next time, on The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons: Trishelle thinks that Sarah is manipulating Alton. Camila gets in a fight with Brandon.
