Jersey Shore: Deena's Downfall

Previously on Jersey Shore, Deena gets arrested and must face the wrath of her mother. Mike gets in an official relationship with Paula. Jenni finally gets in contact with Roger, which leads to a verbal fight that could possibly end their two-year relationship.

This episode begins on a more somber note. Vinny delivers a red cross message while pictures of the destruction Hurricane Sandy has caused to the Jersey Shore fade in and out. Then back to where we left off. After a few more bitter words exchanged, Roger assures Jenni that they are not breaking up. So, much like Jenni’s leg, her relationship is not broken, just a little irritated.

Only one day into the new relationship and Mike is already having second thoughts about asking out Paula. Trying to stay positive Mike thanks him buying her a new wardrobe will improve her style and overall image. He also hints that her seeing a dentist would not be the worst idea ever. What a gentleman.

Pauly and Vinny decide to prank Deena by taking all of her and Chris’s pictures out of the frames, retaking them in the same poses, then placing the new Pauly/Vinny photos in those same frames. (Sidenote: Pauly & Vinny look simply adorable together in these recreated photos. Deena finds this very humorous, as do Pauly and Vinny.)

This day ends with the house going to the usual spot, Karma. Jenni’s once hurt foot is clearly healed as she runs into Roger’s bulky arms. As a gesture to show he’s sorry Roger invites Jenni’s closest friends to the club with him. While the music bangs and the shots are downed around him. Many girls quickly hit on a newly taken Mike. Instead of shoving them away he pulls them in closer, showing off his six-pack and whispering into their ears. A girl who has similar features to Paula seductively grinds on his lap. Mike, being the gentleman he is, pulls her hair and grabs her waist as he is “forced” into this lap dance. His fun comes to a screeching halt when a couple of Paula’s friends see his inappropriate gestures from across the room. They confront him and leave him nervous and sweating.

Ronnie & Deena share a fun afternoon on the boardwalk, taking shots and drinking like there’s no tomorrow. The fun is ruined when he tells her she talks about herself too much. Deena cries, yells at Ronnie, then storms off to her room.

Snooki promises Jionni she will cook for him. Later that day she finds this task troubling, by not being able to work her own stove. After many failed attempts she successfully ignites it as she throws random items into a steaming pot. Afraid that she might actually burn the place down she calls her dad. While she talks to him, with her back to the kitchen smoke emerges from the pot and consumes the entire kitchen.

Once again, Deena gets progressively drunker on the boardwalk by herself. Back at home; Sam answers the ringing duck phone. On the other end is the shrieking voice of Deena’s mother, who threatens to drive down to the shore house to drag her irresponsible daughter out of it.

The moment of truth arrives as Jionni takes the first bite of Snooki’s cooking. The conclusion to this scene is that Snooki can actually cook! Or at least to Jionni’s liking.

An incoherent Deena walks down the boardwalk and stumbles into the shore house, only to be greeted by a phone call from her mother. She admits that she is very drunk a millisecond into the conversation. Hearing this news puts the nail in the coffin and officially sets her mom off. Deena’s mom tells her to pack her bags and that she is coming for her. After much begging and pleading Deena hangs up the phone, only to pick it back up and call her boyfriend to come get her. Sadly he has work the next day and is unable to pick her up. She hangs up and bumbles into the living room. Déjà vu as Deena cries and yells at Ronnie. All anyone can do during this argument is witness the downfall of Deena. She finally storms off to her room to…pack? Or not pack?

Next week: Deena’s fate in the shore house will be decided. Mike falls for Paula a little more, once he sees how well she fits in with the boys. Snooki steals a toy from the boardwalk. Sammi confronts Deena about how her drinking is getting in the way of her and Chris’s relationship.
