Sure it took two hours of pure filler (I’m still recovering from that Pam Anderson number), but former Bachelor contestant and Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Rycroft beat out the competition to be crowned the champion of Dancing With the Stars All-Stars.

The title is well deserved as Melissa steadily improved throughout the season, only getting better with each week.  During last night’s finals Melissa received perfect scores on both of her routines and shined during tonight’s instant Samba, impressing the judges with her ability to perfect the difficult dance in a short period of time.

Kelly Monaco was eliminated first, leaving Melissa and Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson vying for the mirror ball.  It was a similar scene to Season eight except then, Shawn was crowned the winner, beating out Melissa. However, tonight it was Melissa and her partner Tony Dovolani’s turn at victory with each of them earning their first mirror ball.  Tony almost looked happier than Melissa and let’s face it, Shawn’s partner Derek Hough doesn’t need a fourth mirror ball.  See you all this spring for Season 16!
