‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Gains Peter Dinklage
Yep, that’s right – things are looking great for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past with the new addition of Peter Dinklage! Are you excited? We are!
It seems the Game of Thrones actor is set to get some super powers of his own (at least, we hope so) in his new role, although we don’t know what that will be yet.
Still, Dinklage is a welcome fresh face to the film, which will also feature some familiar faces from X-Men: First Class, including; James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult — as well as some stars from the original X-Men trilogy, such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore (via /Film).
Singer tweeted the good news:
And there’s already speculation as to which part Dinklage will be playing, with some fans pointing to Alpha Flight team member Puck.
Simon Kinberg wrote the script for this one based on Chris Claremont Days of Future Past arc. Check out the plot summary below, via /Film:
The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline caused by the X-Men’s failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men.
Which part do you think Dinklage should play? Will you be watching X-Men: Days of Future Past?
