It’s going to be rad, gnarly, excellent and totally tubular… and it’ll probably feature some most bodacious babes – that’s right, it’s Bill & Ted 3!

We’ve been hearing rumours about this since 2010, but apparently now things are finally going ahead, and according to star Alex Winter (better known to some as Bill S Preston Esquire) the film will feature multiple Bill & Teds! Ermmmmm… really? Perhaps it’s some kind of parallel dimension thing where Bill & Ted have many possible futures and we’re going to travel back and forth between them all? Sounds about right – if we’re right about this, someone award us a medal.

Anyway, here’s what actor and director Winter had to say (via The Guardian):

“It’s all about Bill and Ted grown up, or not grown up. It’s really sweet and really fucking funny. But it’s a Bill & Ted movie, that’s what it is. It’s for the fans of Bill & Ted. It fits very neatly in the [series]. It’s not going to feel like a reboot. The conceit is really funny: what if you’re middle-aged, haven’t really grown up and you’re supposed to have saved the world and maybe, just maybe, you kinda haven’t?”

Winter also stated that the film would not feel at all like a reboot, which is music to our ears here at Screenpicks. Yeah, baby!

Co-star Keanu Reeves (AKA Ted “Theodore” Logan) has previously stated that the awesome pair “were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened.” He went on to say: “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.” — Interesting.
