Latest ‘Birdman’ Poster and News

We have here the pretty new poster from upcoming Alejandro González Iñárritu film Birdman. It’s quite striking, and certainly has us intrigued about its upcoming release.

Director González Iñárritu also gave us Amores Perros and 21 Grams, and from the festival reviews this one looks promising.

Here’s the blurb via /Film (who also have more images on their site):

BIRDMAN or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance is a black comedy that tells the story of an actor (Michael Keaton) – famous for portraying an iconic superhero – as he struggles to mount a Broadway play.  In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.

Wes Ball’s The Maze Runner: Scorched Earth is set to mainly feature a young cast, including Kaya Scodelario, Dylan O’BrienThomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee and Will Poulter… but now news of an adult character has hit the headlines, and it’s a villain to be played by famed GoT villain Aidan Gillen, best known for his role at ‘Littlefinger’ on the show.

Party on, Dudes: Bill & Ted’s Most Excellent Middle-Aged Adventures

t’s going to be rad, gnarly, excellent and totally tubular… and it’ll probably feature some most bodacious babes – that’s right, it’s Bill & Ted 3!

We’ve been hearing rumours about this since 2010, but apparently now things are finally going ahead, and according to star Alex Winter (better known to some as Bill S Preston Esquire) the film will feature multiple Bill & Teds! Ermmmmm… really? Perhaps it’s some kind of parallel dimension thing where Bill & Ted have many possible futures and we’re going to travel back and forth between them all? Sounds about right – if we’re right about this, someone award us a medal.

‘Prometheus 2′ Will Contain No Xenomorphs, Says Ridley Scott

Is it really possible? How can this be happening?

These are just two of the questions Alien fans amongst us will be asking after hearing this latest Prometheus 2 news (via io9), but we’ve heard it from the horse’s mouth: Ridley Scott himself has stated that the sequel will be xenomorph-free.

This is not only in direct contrast to where the last film appeared to be headed, but also to previous news that the sequel to the prequel (love saying that) will be “more alien-y”.

Which begs the question: How will Prometheus 2 be more “alien-y” without the aliens? Read the full story from us here.
