Actress Alicia Vikander has signed on to star in a Tomb Raider reboot. We approve!

Vikander, who recently won her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her turn in The Danish Girl, will play a young and untested Croft fighting to survive her first adventure, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Angelina Jolie was the first to bring the popular video game heroine to the big screen in 2001 with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its 2003 sequel, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

This would be the first film Vikander helmed on her own. This year she will be seen in the drama The Light Between Oceans as well as the Matt Damon action pic Jason Bourne.
