About The Author

Sisters Amy and Nancy Harrington have made a career based on their love of pop culture. As writers, they create positive entertainment content for their own website, Pop Culture Passionistas. Their interviews, articles and trivia challenges have been syndicated to Yahoo, OMG!, Fox.com, GetBack.com, Picktainment, BeliefNet, Examiner, EcoSalon and many more. They have conducted, written and edited hundreds of celebrity interviews for various outlets including the Archive of American Television at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. On their various assignments and for their site, they have covered film and TV icons like Danny DeVito, Martin Sheen and Alan Alda. They've chatted with celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver and Anthony Bourdain, reality stars like Chris Harrison and Donald Trump and comedians such as Tracey Morgan and Rosie O'Donnell. Most recently Amy and Nancy were invited to be part of the VIP digital press corps covering “Oprah’s Lifeclass.” The elite group of seven digital media writers was hand-picked to provide exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage during Winfrey’s tour of the U.S. and Canada. Amy and Nancy produced over 450 webisodes of the pop culture web series “Retro Minute” and related trivia games, which have been distributed online to MSN.com and HULU.com and have had a reach of 150 million views per month on out-of-home screens in Walmart, Costco, Coffee Bean, Dennys, Burger King and more. The sisters first started working together as video producers, creating episodes of the series “PopVision.” The Internet show featured tours of pop culture locations in and around Hollywood and conversations with entertainment legends from Herb Alpert to William Shatner. The series, which was distributed online and via iTunes, Shout! Factory DVDs and VH1 Classics, also included a variety of interviews with music icons like Heart and The Bangles.
