Dancing with the Stars: Kristin Cavallari Heads for the Hills

In a rather surprising vote, Kristin Cavallari was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars in Week 3. The reality show star seemed to be in good shape with her strongest dance of the season, combining with partner Mark Ballas to earn a 24 and finish in the middle of the pack. Yet Cavallari was already at a disadvantage in the competition, given that the 24-year old's target demographic was not likely to watch the show. Additionally, she is known to rub television viewers the wrong way at times, and admitted she was doing the show to "prove [she] wasn't a bitch." It's been a tough year for Cavallari, who also had her engagement broken off with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler just weeks before the wedding. Her elimination means that both Chaz Bono and Nancy Grace remain in the competition, a surprise considering their lower scores of 18 and 21, respectively. Few Fantasy DWTS players predicted Cavallari's early exit this week.

Hines Ward Steals ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Trophy

He's already won a Super Bowl MVP award, but Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward arguably won a bigger prize tonight -- the Mirror Ball Trophy. Ward became the second football player to win the coveted Dancing with the Stars, joining Emmitt Smith who won in Season 3. Ward and partner Kym Johnson earned consistently high marks and showed great chemistry all season long. The pair got a perfect score in their halftime show-inspired freestyle dance last night, and capped it off with one more perfect score tonight. The result was predicted by our very own Erica Scandariato, who correctly foresaw that Ward's winning combination of charmed females and football fanatics would provide enough votes to boost his already high scores. The only major surprise of the night was that Disney star Chelsea Kane her partner Mark Ballas fell back to third place, despite earning scores that were essentially to equal to Hines and Kym's. Kirstie Alley showed that she had plenty of fan support and finished in second place with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
