Kajillionaire is one of those odd little indie gems that can't be missed.
Written and directed by Miranda July, the story follows grifters Robert (Richard Jenkins), Theresa (Debra Winger) and their 20-something daughter Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), who schedule their days around their various money scams. Old Dolio has never known any other kind of life but seems to yearn for something more normal. When the trio meets Melanie (Gina Rodriguez), however, things suddenly go haywire. Melanie may just be the catalyst for Old Dolio to break away from her parents and live her own life.
ScreenPicks' Kit Bowen talked with the lovely Rodriguez about this quirky comedy, her character's motivations and working with the eccentric Miranda July.
